This new year is a mystery to me as always. I do enjoy the sudden changes and circumstance shifting experiences in my life.  I am currently running on reserves and have not been actively training.  Im selling my bike on ebay.  But I have picked up a new hobby that is equally dangerous to satisfy my appetite for action adventure and death defiance.  I am headed to the gym now, but not before l give my daughter a kiss.  Out of all the things one can label me as I very much enjoy the title of "daddy".

So I ran aimlessly yesterday, well I was trying to exhaust my mind so that I could focus on the important tasks that I have in front of me. I ended up at Woodruff Park, watched a few chess moves and headed home on the train. The Westbound platform was packed on both sides but I quickly found a spot in front of a billboard with cash on it. Of course I had on my shades and was listening to some music that had me hype from my run. Two young men approached me; one of them asked “let me buy your shades”. I started to answer him “$200” but then I just took them off, handed them to him, and looked him in the eye. He responded while seeing the intensity in my eyes for the first time, “Dang, where do you be at?”.

I chuckled and responded “my shades are for the safety of others”

I have a baby on the way and although I've thought about it...

I have concluded that it is a bad idea.  So I'm regretfully Selling my Bike.

SOFTRIDE ROCKET (LARGE)

You're looking at a very nice large softride rocket. This is the ultimate time trial/ iron man bike.

It is equipped with a 9 speed groupset. The shifters, and cranks, and rear derailleur are duraace.  I removed the front shifters to make the bike more like a modified simi fixed-gear.  But I will give you the parts so you can change it back to the normal configuration if you wish.  The brakes and front derailleur is ultegra. As you can see from the picture the cockpit is all carbon it's a profile design  carbon x set up the padding for the aerobars has warn off. The bullhorn bars are 42 cm wide. The saddle also all carbon it's a selle italia slr and weighs 125 grams. The wheels they're spinergy rev x wheels and they're clinchers. These wheels are in very good condition.

As you may know with softrides they have a great deal of adjustment. This bike will fit riders ranging from 5'6" all they way up to 6'3".

Minimum top tube adjustment: 46cm this is from the center of seat bolt to the stem bolt.

Minimum seat tube adjustment is 62cm this is from crank bolt to seat rail.

Maximum top tube is 62cm this is center of seat clamp bolt to the stem bolt

Maximum seat tube adjustment is 79cm.

I made it to my Zipcar 30 mins early so I walked around a little downtown and hung out on the corner.  I ran in to this guy on Mitchell St painting something that I couldn't make out at the time.  I asked him what is was.  He said an alligator and showed me the eye.  In my mind I said that looks nothing like an Alligator.  it didnt look like an Alligator from where I was right were the artist was in this picture.  So i decided to cross the street and see if i could make it out.  I laughed with the photographer about him not saying anything about it being upside down.  But in fact it wasn't upside down it was on its back.  so my question to you is... How do you put an Alligator to sleep?

Yea so I did some body maintenance over my extended weekend and took time to reinforce my solid identity!

I also spent time pondering the ramifications of discoveries in Quantum Physics.  Do thoughts literally create reality?
